I am currently employed with IBM but I am running this site independently. I have a products and services background around open platforms (mainly x86); my area of expertise comprises server hardware, operating systems, storage and infrastructure related hardware and software technologies. I have lately been quite active in the following areas:
- Virtualization
- Blade architectures
- Scalable Intel and AMD systems
- Storage
- Systems Management solutions
There are two reasons for which I have created this site: share what I know, learn from what you know. I believe in the power of communities, any community, and this is my (little) give-back to all professionals interested in this technology arena. I can say without any doubt that I have learned much more from browsing the net and participating in interesting forum discussions than from any other formal class I have attended. So I hope that what I am posting here is of any interest and use for you.

Note: I want to make sure you understand that I might be sharing documentation I have developed for my core business (at IBM). I thought I could use my time better than spending hours editing/polishing it from the IBM scripts and official messages. Rest assured that what I post on this site has nothing to do with an "IBM marketing effort" (IBM has better and more efficient resources to achieve that compared to this little site). Obviously I will not be sharing IBM confidential material either. The ultimate intent remains that of sharing points of view with the entire community.
