The difference is that in every other server, when you max out the memory slots, the memory speed takes a dump.... to the tune of almost a 1/3 reduction in overall memory speed.  Cisco&#039;s has created it&#039;s own memory adapter that presents (?) sticks of RAM as (1).  In short, the server thinks it still has room for more RAM and it doesn&#039;t hinder the speed of the memory.

At least, that&#039;s how I understand it... ;)</description>
